چکیده

Abstract
 Objective
The pediatric age group is in the risk for Inadvertent perioperative hypothermia (IPH) due to insufficient subcutaneous adipose tissue and underdeveloped thermoregulatory responses.
We aimed determine frequency of IPH undergoing laparoscopic surgery.
 Methods
 study prospective observational.
Pediatric patients (1-18 years old) who underwent surgery under general anaesthesia were evelueted. tympanic membrane temperature measurements (°C) recorded before induction (T0) then every 15 minutes during Results
A total 100 evaluated. inadvertent was detected 13 (13%). Frequency on elective higher than emergency (

Comparison of direct and indirect blood pressure in patients under esophagectomy surgery: a prospective observational study

Background: Arterial pressure is one of the most important physiological variables and often needs to be monitored repeatedly or continuously in perioperative period. Arterial pressure monitoring is one of the standard monitoring in operating room. During general anesthesia, blood pressure can be measured by using a noninvasive arterial pressure method or continuous invasive arterial pressure b...

Single-Incision Multiport/Single Port Laparoscopic Abdominal Surgery (SILAP): A Prospective Multicenter Observational Quality Study

BACKGROUND Increasing experience with minimally invasive surgery and the development of new instruments has resulted in a tendency toward reducing the number of abdominal skin incisions. Retrospective and randomized prospective studies could show the feasibility of single-incision surgery without any increased risk to the patient. However, large prospective multicenter observational datasets do...

Inadvertent hypothermia during the perioperative period

Inadvertent hypothermia, which is defined as temperature below 36°C, is common in the perioperative setting. Patients under general or regional anaesthesia have impaired temperature regulation/homeostasis. Temperature monitoring should be an established standard for all procedures that last more than 30 minutes. Unfortunately, study shows that it is not a common practice in European hospitals. ...

Predictors of Difficult Airway Management in Thyroid Surgery: a Five-year Observational Single-center Prospective Study.

Difficult tracheal intubation (DI) is more common in thyroid than in other surgical branches due to thyromegaly. Proper preoperative airway evaluation is necessary in order to reduce the potential numerous complications. The study examined the incidence of DI in thyroid surgery and the influence of tracheal dislocation and other risk factors on DI. A prospective study was conducted on 2379 pati...

evaluating pediatric risk of mortality (prism) score in a pediatric critical setting: a prospective observational study in children’s medical center

the pediatric risk of mortality (prism) score is a measure of illness severity based on abnormalities observed on bedside examination and laboratory assessment at pediatric intensive care unit (picu) admission to predict mortality probability. our study was performed on 205 patients who were admitted to picu of children’s medical center (cmc) over a period of 6 months.data were recorded prospec...
